Looking back many moons ago, here’s a true story: when I worked at the aluminum plant on the last day of my ninety-day probation, they gave me the worst puller they had—number 11, with a bent pin—and partnered me up with a guy they said “talked too much.” We heard laughter in the break room. He was shaken, worried we were finished. I looked him dead in the eye and said, “Shut up—we’re going to beat them all and wipe the smirk off their faces.”
We finished an hour early, beating them all and being the first to finish. No high fives, no “good job, guys”—all the smiles were gone. The foremen were stunned—“How the hell did you do that with that puller?” Simple, I told them: “I’m a different bird. How come you’re not laughing anymore, not smiling, huh?” Sure, they let us go anyway—someone in the company hated my father. But for me? Just seeing their pride turn to shock made it all worth it. Wiping those evil smirks off their faces was priceless.
You are enough, just as you are—especially when your life is surrendered to God and your heart seeks True freedom in faith the good. The world will always have a thousand voices telling you how to act, what to believe, and who to be. But deep down, you already know right from wrong. You strive not to harm, to treat others kindly, and to walk humbly. If you do these things, you are already walking a good road.
God didn’t make you to be anyone but yourself. Your heart is your own—sometimes strong, sometimes gentle—full of unique hopes, quirks, and dreams. You don’t have to wear a mask for anyone. You don’t have to apologize for being that different bird. God made you website with care, and authenticity is where love and faith truly grow.
If you know how to live simply, look yourself in the eye every night, and show mercy and kindness, then you’re right where you should be. Don’t change yourself to fit someone else’s mold. If something in you needs to change, let God do the work. His hand is gentler than the world’s, and His change goes deeper than any opinion they’ll ever throw at you.
Life isn’t about running after every rule or burning out chasing perfection. It’s about surrendering your heart, letting God shape you, and carrying humility and courage day by day. When the sun goes down and it’s just you and God, let that be enough. Stand true—honest, kind, and always willing to grow.
Be yourself. Be that different bird. Offer grace to yourself and to others. God’s love isn’t earned or copied—it’s given, simply because you are His. here If He thinks you should change, trust Him to do it with patience and love—not through pressure or shame.
